WEEKEND EVENTS: A Fashion Swap, A Grown-n-Sexy Mixer & Some Holy Poetry

TGIF!!! This week seemed soooo long for some reason .. but Friday is finally here! Though some parents may not see it as a good thing since the kids have 2 extra days off .. but you can still have a little fun :)

Here are some events to attend if you're out and about this weekend:

Saturday night at 7 pm, T-Shemise is hosting a Fashion Swap. It's a neat event -- Just bring gently used clothing that you don't want anymore and swap them for new to you fabulous fashion finds. They can even alter your clothing for a perfect fit!

Along with the swap, participants will enjoy music, hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, makeup bar, fashion stylist to help with selections and more!!! And Designer Tiffany S. Walker will show you how to maximize your wardrobe by mix and matching fashion basics.

Admission is $10 in advance $15 at the door- A bargain price for a new wardrobe!

ALSO ON SATURDAY NIGHT ...

Across the river, at Adam's in Bossier City, CrowdPleaser Ent. will be hosting the ICE-BREAKER -- A Networking Mixer for Greeks & Young Professionals. (No you don't have to be Greek to attend!).

Bring out your business cards and come network, mix & mingle with all the Movers and Shakers of the SBC (and beyond).

Doors open at 9pm. There is a Greek Discount until 10:30 pm. The Dress Code is Grown, Sexy & Mature.

ON SUNDAY ...


I said I wasn't going to post this .. but I'm trying to be fair (lol) .. so here goes:


Freakboy Entertainment is hosting "FREAK'UM DRESS SUNDAY" at the Hilton Garden Inn (5971 Financial Plaza, off Pines Rd near IHOP). The 1st 30 Ladies Dressed Up get in FREE. There will be a CASH PRIZE for the sexiest lady in her Freak'Um Dress (can't wait to see those no-no pics lol). Early arrival is suggested.




IN OTHER WEEKEND EVENT NEWS:





If you'd rather spend your Sunday Night at a more spiritual event, try SNAP NIGHT at the Grip Church (7609 Pines Road). The event will feature Open Mic and Poetry. It begins at 6 pm. For more information, call (318) 820-0509.



Before the SNAP NIGHT, on SATURDAY there is a special event for Gospel musicians and church leaders ...


The City Wide Clinic will be held at the White Temple Church of God In Christ, located at 3898 Hollywood Avenue.


The clinic is designed to help musicians perfect their craft and take them the next level of their music ministry.
