EVENT PICS: Trendsetters Shreveport Hosts First Fashion Show

Fashionistas, Fashion Designers, Models, Photographers and other Fashion Forward people in the SBC came out for the launching party/first event hosted by Trendsetters Shreveport last Saturday (1.10) at the Holiday Inn in Downtown Shreveport.

The fashion show/mixer was hosted by Cycle 11 Top Model contestant Joslyn Pennywell (pictured below) ...

... and was put together by newcomers to the SBC scene, Fashion HP and the SBC's own CrowdPleaser Entertainment (shout out to Marle-Mar, pictured below).

Fashion HP (aka Fashion Heights Production) is an event firm Based in Dallas/Fort Worth, specializing in fashion, lifestyle and entertainment events.

FHP has been making it's mark in the DFW as a full-service event production firm that puts on everything from parties and fashion shows to photo shoots and casting. (E-mail FHP to get more information or go to their MySpace page).

CEO Cecile Mengue recently spread her wings east of the DFW and set up shop here in the SBC, by the expanding the business to include the newly-formed "Trendsetters Shreveport" (a partnership with Crowdpleaser).

Saturday night's show was Trendsetters Shreveport's first event of the year. The show featured local designers and models, and encouraged all fashion-lovers and trendsetters to come show their love.

Photographer extraordinaire KWest (pictured above on the right) was in the building (camera in hand, as you can see) and got some shots backstage:

T-Shemise was in the building

Even the security hit the red carpet! (lol)

Lots of trendy people got their pose on before the show began:

(I wish I could direct you to more of KWest's photos but she's still working on her business site [get to work girl!!! lol] .. but you can find her on MySpace or e-mail her. She does photography AND graphic design -- give the sista some work! lol)

According to those who attended the event (and the organizers) it was a hit ... and I hear Joslyn is a sweetie. (I never watched that cycle, so I honestly didn't know who she was .. but she seems nice lol).

SO WHAT'S NEXT FOR FASHION HP???

Well ... They move back to the Dallas for the next couple of events:

  • February 28th - Project Red ... a show featuring all Red Collections for the foundation Keep a Child Alive... Along with the fashion show, there will also be an auction.
  • April 30th - Fashion Dichotomy -- a fashion designer competition
