It's that time of year again -- time for local schools to open their doors to future students and parents around the SBC.

I've compiled a short list of upcoming Open Houses for all the parents (and other family members, like me) who want to know what's up (click the school's name to go to their website):

Broadmoor Middle -- Will host its Open House on Thursday, January 22nd beginning at 6 p.m. Information will be shared about the amazing programs and tours will be given.

Youree Drive Middle School - will host an Open House featuring information about Advanced Placement, Academics, Spartan Camp, Electives, Activities. The event will be held this Sunday, January 25th at 2 pm.

The school is asking everyone to meet in the auditorium. Tours of the school will be given and students & parents will get to meet with teachers and counselors. Northwood High School and Herndon Magnet already had its Open Houses earlier this month, so contact them for enrollment information.

And Caddo Middle Magnet (as far as I know) won't be hosting one this Spring but they are currently accepting applications for their Magnet program through January 30th.

As for BOSSIER CITY, there are no events listed so far, but go to the Bossier School Board website (http://bossier.k12.la.us/) to get school info and contact them yourself!
