If you're an E. Lynn Harris fan, you'll love this -- his new novel "Basketball Jones" hits bookstores (and some other retail outlets today).
Some fans were disappointed by his last book, Just Too Good To Be True. And to be honest, I never bought it, and have YET to finish reading his memoir (What Becomes of the Brokenhearted), but I'm thinking this new one just may make us fall in love with his twisted kind of drama all over again ... here's the story:
Aldridge James “AJ” Richardson is living the good life. He has a gorgeous town house in always-flavorful New Orleans, plenty of frequent-flier miles from jet-setting around the country on a whim, and an MBA—but he’s never had to work a regular job. He owes it all to his longtime lover, Dray Jones.
Dray Jones the rich and famous NBA star. They fell in love in college when AJ was hired to tutor Dray, a freshman on the basketball team. But Dray knew if he wanted to make it to the big time, he must juggle his public image and his private desires. Built on a deep, abiding love, their hidden relationship sustains them both, but when Dray’s teammates begin to ask insinuating questions about AJ, Dray puts their doubts to rest by marrying Judi, a beautiful and ambitious woman. Judi knows nothing about Dray’s “other life.” Or does she?
In Basketball Jones, E. Lynn Harris explores the consequences of loving someone who is forced to conform to the rules society demands its public heroes follow. Filled with nonstop twists and turns, it will keep readers riveted from the first page to the last.
I'm soooooo excited! I just can't hid it!!! :)

Also dropping Tuesday in a WTF moment is "Eye Legacy," the 2nd solo (and first posthumous) album by Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes.
It's hard to believe it's almost been SEVEN years since Left Eye was killed ... when her SUV veered off the road in Honduras. She was only 30 years old.
VH1 has kept the intriguing documentary "The Last Days of Left Eye" in heavy rotation (and it is now available on DVD). If you haven't seen it yet ... it's a MUST.
According to an article on Wikipedia, this new album is said to have been in the works before Left Eye's death:
Before her death in 2002, Lisa recorded some songs for an album. In 2008 Lisa's family decided to work with producers at Surefire Music Group to create a posthumous album in honor of her.
Originally set to be released October 28, 2008, the release date was pushed back to November 11, then to January 27 2009. "Crank It", which features her younger sister Reigndrop Lopes, was released as a promo single.
The first official single from the album, "Let's Just Do It", was released on January 13, 2009 and features Missy Elliott and TLC.
The album includes a bonus DVD of never before seen footage of Left Eye. The album booklet will also contain fan messages that were collected through the Eye Legacy official MySpace page.
Album guest appearances include: Chamillionaire, Bone Crusher, Bobby Valentino, Chilli, T-Boz, Wanya Morris, Lil Mama, Free, Ryan Toby, and Claudette Ortiz.
A percentage of the proceeds from the album sales will go to the Lisa Lopes Foundation and her orphanage in Honduras.
