Friday night (5.29) was my first time visiting the Robinson Film Center, so I didn't quite know what to expect. I was supporting a friend's (and taking pics) for the Mt. Olive Baptist Church's BLACK AND WHITE PARTY (hosted by the Youth Ministry) ...
The event was held in an upstairs room ... and had food ...
And more food ...
And plenty of hungry people to enjoy it!!! :)
Young professionals from the church (and some from other church homes) all came out to support the Christian event ...
Providing entertainment for the night was an AWESOME local band INTUITION (a group packed with amazing -- and some YOUNG -- musicians, most working their way through college) ...
This young lady had me do a double-take when she channeled Chrisette Michele ... (She's a vocal performance student at GSU).
The band had us all movin' when they played a second-line song ... Some guests grabbed napkins and hit the dance floor!
The event was held in a very classy place, had some great food (and a very nice, professional staff), and was filled with fun people. What more could you ask for??? :)
No word yet on if this event will happen again ... but as always, when I KNOW, you'll know!!!
