The Bossier City Police Department anticipates heavy traffic flow from the Louisiana Boardwalk following the Rockets Over the Red fireworks display Saturday. Officers will alter traffic to accommodate the large number of people expected.
Westbound lanes of the Texas Street bridge will be closed at 6 p.m., and the walkway will be closed at 7 p.m.
Following the fireworks display, the northbound lanes of Traffic Street between Ogilvie and East Texas streets will be closed.
Vehicles leaving the parking garage will be directed north onto Traffic Street and then eastbound onto Ogilvie Street, along with other vehicles traveling north on Traffic Street.
The Police Department is warning patrons to expect long delays if they park inside the garage. Other modifications may be made if necessary.
