NEW MUSIC: End of 2008 Brings New Releases From Music's Biggest Artists

The end of 2008 is delivering some of the hottest music of the entire YEAR. Some of the major players in the industry have waited until the last couple of months to make sure they go out with a BIG bang.

Right now I'm jammin' John Legend's EVOLVER, released at the end of October.

Though I'm not a fan of Legend physically (and sometimes when he speaks), his music overshadows all of that. Check out my review of this album HERE.

The month of NOVEMBER is bringing the hits as well...

In stores NOW
:

T-Pain's
"Thr33 Ringz" is his fourth studio album and features a host of cameos by big names in the music biz, like T.I., Kanye West, and Lil Wayne.

Deborah Cox's
new album "The Promise" is her fifth album, and from the reviews I've read it's her best work ever.

Other albums on the shelves this week include Seal's "Soul" and Tracey Chapman's "Our Bright Future."

And dropped last week (and fast becoming fan favorites) are the new album from Q-Tip ("Renaissance") and Keri Hilson's debut album.

NEXT WEEK:

On November 18th, the much-anticipated Beyonce album "I Am ... Sasha Fierce" hits stores.

"Sasha Fierce" is the name B has given to her alter ego she turns on when she hits the stage (to overcome her anxiety about performing).

Just like B-Day, "I Am ..." will have a deluxe edition (with DVD additions) available ... basically she's following in the footsteps of R. Kelly and some hip hop stars by delivering a double-album with two sides of her musical story.

She's doing everything double .. releasing two singles and two videos ... and it seems she's on this black and white kick, removing the flash of bright colors and settling for purer images to reshape her image.

2006's B-Day was supposedly Beyonce's last album. But I guess Mrs. Sean Carter pulle done of his stunts and lied about retiring lol. Hey, why put a halt to the money train now??? Again, I Am .. Sasha Fierce hits shelves November 18th.

Also released later this month:

Ludacris
' "Theater of the Mind" (11.24). It seems like Luda JUST put out an album (oh wait, he did .. LAST YEAR), but maybe my Virgo brotha is just trying to keep busy.

Kanye West's new album "808's and Heartbreak" drops on 11.25. Another much-anticipated release.

And if you're a TOM JONES fan, check out his new album "24 Hours" on the same date.

COMING IN DECEMBER:

One of the albums I'M waiting to hear .. Musiq Soulchild's "OnMyRadio" is going to be released Dec. 9th.

After hearing what has grown to be one of my favorite songs of the year "Radio," I'm eager to see what else Musiq has up his talented sleeves.

Brandy's back in December as well, releasing her new album "Human" (also on 12.9).

Brandy has yet ANOTHER new look and improved sound, so I'm eager to see what this CD will bring. I actually miss her! lol

ALSO DROPPING IN DECEMBER:

  • Look to see and hear new music from SCARFACE, BRITNEY SPEARS, AKON, 50 CENT, AVANT, BUSTA RHYMES, THE DREAM, BOW WOW and COMMON.

Get ready music lovers! This is about to get expensive! LOL ... Happy listening! - m
