The last time I saw Comedian MARK CURRY he was hosting Showtime at the Apollo, but he's done a lot since then. The "Hangin' With Mr. Cooper" star has packed houses all over the country doing his stand-up comedy; he has also appeared on Showtime's "Fat Actress," BET's "Coming to the Stage," and been an NBA correspondent for ESPN's "Cold Pizza." With all that going on, the star still has time to come chill in the SBC (ok, maybe not CHILL, because he will be working!).
CURRY will be at the Funny Bone (located at the Louisiana Boardwalk) from Wednesday, November 12th to Friday, November 14th. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $25 for a VIP booth (minimum of 4 to a booth). Shows are 8 pm each night, with an additional show at 10:30 pm on Friday.
The Funny Bone also has a lot of other events going on this month ...
In two weeks (November 21st & 22nd) Nephew Tommy (from The Steve Harvey Morning Show) will be hitting the stage ....
.... The comedy club is currently filming for a reality show called "Bad to the Bone." Spectators are welcome to come join the audience and watch the action.
.... And making appearances in the sports bar this week -- Former Destiny's Child member Latavia Roberson; plus Steven "Stix" Josey (son of "Kool" from Kool and the Gang) and Ron Dixon (former New York Giant) ... both are producers of "Bad To The Bone."
