Business owners (old and new) and future entrepenuers will gather this weekend for the 15th Annual Minority Business Awards Banquet and Expo, sponsored by The Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce Minority Business Council.
The Awards Banquet will be held on Friday, November 7th, where the winners of the Small Business of the Year Award, Emerging Business of the Year Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award will be honored. The banquet is at DiamondJacks Casino and begins at 7 pm. Dr. Joseph Walker, III of Mount Zion Ministry will deliver the Keynote address.

MBC Festivities will continue on Saturday, November 8th as the council kicks-off the Minority Business Opportunity Expo at the Municipal Auditorium.
The Expo will run from 11 am to 5 pm, and includes vendors showcasing their products and services, plus a children’s area.
Saturday's highlight will be performances by veteran R & B Artists Jon B. and Tony Rich, plus newcomer Leigh Jones as well as local dance groups and choirs.
Admission is only $5.00 (children 12 and under are free).
