EVENT PICS: T'Shemise "Opposing Forces ... Alter Ego" Fashion Show

Male and Female, Black and White, Old-School and New School, Young and Old -- The entire spectrum illuminated the rooftop of Shreveport's Mid-City Plaza Saturday night as T'Shemise presented the "Opposing Forces ... Alter Ego" Show (and the fashion group's Spring 2009).

Everything about the event screamed "contrast" -- an eclectic composition (couture fashion mixed with a pop-star production), a daring runway (part of the parking garage), unique fashions (in all colors, for all ages), an array of models (every ethnicity, shape and size), and even the presentation -- some models walked the uphill runway BACKWARDS.

Though the show had some technical difficulties in the beginning (like a power outage that was solved with headlights from a pick-up truck) that caused a time delay ... once the show started the hundreds of people in the audience couldn't take their eyes off the runway.

Mirroring something you'd see on BET's Rip The Runway, the production was spectacular. I didn't even mind the ten scenes (ranging from "Fierce" and "Fearless" to "Exotic" and "Indifferent").

Designer Tiffany Walker and Show Producer Justin Jones did an amazing job. It was well executed and even though I could only see myself in a few of the runway fashions, even those with the simplest of wardrobes were saying "That's hot!". And that's what it's about.
