EVENT ALERTs: Easter Weekend Happenings

The Easter Bunny is not the only thing hoppin' this holiday weekend. There's plenty to do in the SBC this weekend if you're lookin' to enjoy the nightlife -- the cities are offering everything from a fashion show to a charity kickball game ... CHECK IT OUT:



ON GOOD FRIDAY (NIGHT):







Crowpleaser Entertainment has teamed up with Fashion HP once again for a one-of-a-kind event.

They'll roll out the Black Carpet tomorrow night (4.10) and spotlight the nine Black Greek-Letter Organizations, as well as fashion-loving Young Adults at their "YOUNG & THE RESTLESS" event.

The event takes place at the Holiday Inn in downtown Shreveport. The night will include a STOMP THE RUNWAY fashion show featuring models from black fraternities and sororities, as well as a networking mixer.

There will also be STRUTT OFF/PARTY HOP COMPETITION, shopping opportunities to own one of kind Greek apparels, a Celebrity Studded PARTY, and other surprises.


You must be 18 to attend the event, and 21 to Drink. Admission is $10.

On the Bossier side, The Marche' Group is hosting it's big "N the Mix" Mixer at ENCORE on Friday night. The event is geared toward young professionals in the SBC.

Tickets are $10 and are available at Boss Man's Barber World, Phazes Hair Salon, Girlfriends Hair Salon, Divas & Dolls, and M&M Salon.

Doors open at 9 pm. You may want to get there early because this even usually gets REALLY packed (which means the later you come, the more you'll have to pay!).

Dress to impress and make sure to bring a valid ID.

ON SATURDAY NIGHT:

The fellaz known for bring the super sexy events in the SBC, Oh Boy Productions, will host a Pre-Easter Pajama Jam on Saturday at the Municipal Auditorium.

Event organizers encourage everyone to put on their sexiest pjs and come out to party!

DJ B-Smoove will be in the building, plus a Surprise Special Guest. Listen to your local radio stations for details on the party.

Admission is $10. Discounts for sexy PJs all night! Early arrival is suggested!

If you don't wanna sport your bed attie and want a more professional atmosphere, there's always SOPHISTICATED SATURDAYs at Adam’s Lounge in Bossier City.

Presented by CrowdPleaser Entertainment, the weekly event kicks off at 9 pm. DJ Marle-Mar is on the 1’s and 2’s all night. Grown & sexy attire is mandatory. For more info, call 318-422-5322.

ON SUNDAY:

On Easter Sunday afternoon (weather willing), JR ENTERTAINMENT along with the JSRF Foundation will host a Kickball Classic at Ford Park ...

The event starts at 3 pm and proceeds will benefit the Jamarsey Bolden Scholarship Foundation. It will take place on the west side of Ford Park.

And Later that night, there is an After Party at CLUB NEW YORK (inside the GiGi’s Entertainment Complex) from 10 pm-2am. Proceeds from the party also go to the JBSF.

Also on Easter night, on the other end of Commerce Street, PORT CITY UPSCALE EVENTS is promising to take the Voodoo Café back to the way it used to be ... as they present their "BLAME IT ON THE ALCOHOL" Easter night party.
