SBC 411: Teen Cooking & Nutrition Classes Offered
Teens can learn their way around the kitchen in a new program by the LSU AgCenter.
"Teens in the Kitchen" is a food and fitness program for 13 to 18 year olds that will be presented by Lola Shuttleworth, youth development agent, with assistance from Connie Aclin and Dianne Glasgow, both extension educators.
Students will learn about food and kitchen safety, choosing healthy foods and the importance of physical fitness.
Classes will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on October 1, 6, 8, 13 and 15 at the Caddo Extension Office (2408 E. 70th St., Shreveport).
