Youth modeling, sewing classes available
Young people ages 7-13 can sign up for modeling and sewing classes at several Shreveport community centers.
SPAR is partnering with Quintessence Personal Development & Elegance to teach attendees self esteem and refinement, runway modeling, skin care and makeup, healthy eating, fashion design and sewing without patterns.
Class schedules are:
Mondays and Fridays at Lakeside Community Center
2200 Milam St. - (318) 673-7812
Tuesdays and Thursdays at David Raines Community Center

Wednesdays at Southern Hills Community Center
1002 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop - (318) 673-7818
Courses run from 4-5 p.m. Sept. 1 to Nov. 18. Classes cost $10 each to attend. Contact each center for more information.
