EVENT ALERT: Graffiti @ Artspace's Closing Party

Calling all B-Boys, B-Girls, Hip Hop Heads and folks who like "Tagging" other people's stuff LOL. A one-of-a-kind exhibit is entering its last days here in the SBC.

GRAFFITI @ ARTSPACE set up shop in Downtown Shreveport at the end of July and ends it's run this Saturday.

If you passed by there lately you probably thought it'd been vandalized ... but no, that's just ART ... Urban art :-)

I went down there a few weeks back and took these shots from outside the building (yeah, they covered the building with it ... cool huh?) .. CHECK EM OUT:

And no, that's not a real person ... I was almost fooled myself LOL. If you haven't been down there yet, go check it out before it's too late!

Artspace is open Thursday from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm, Friday: 10:00 am - 5:30 pm and Saturday: 12:00 pm - 5:30 pm. Admission is FREE during regular business hours.

Now On FRIDAY NIGHT, the urban-inspired exhibit will celebrate the end of its run with a Closing Party. DJ Deacon Strukt will team up with Rhyme University to provide an electric HIP-HOP music showcase.

There will also be an Urban Trunk Show featuring T-Shemise Fashions (shoutout to Tiff, who's line opens in Heart&Soul on Kings Hwy at the end of this month!); also featured in the trunk show will be EPIK Board Sports (located @ the corner of Youree and Ockley)

Friday night's event will be your LAST chance to buy original Graffiti art created by ELSE and PUBERT at a fraction of the original prices!!! Some artworks will sell for as much as 50% OFF!!!

Admission to the party is $5. It begins at 7 pm. For more information contact Megan at (318) 673-6535. And you can Read more about the exhibit HERE.
