On a budget and need to file your taxes? Well, the Queensborough Neighborhood Association will prepare and electronically file your 2008 federal and state income taxes for FREE!
Bring in your W-2, identification, and social security card for you and all dependents. Saturdays are by appointment only. Filing will be available each weekday from 9 am to 4:30 pm.

FIREFIGHTERS WANTED
The Shreveport Fire Department has open firefighter positions and is accepting applications until Feb. 27.
The next step is to take the civil service exam April 6, but applicants must wait for a letter of approval from the Fire Department to take the test.
Applications are available between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the following locations:
- Central Fire Station @ 263 N. Common St.
- City of Shreveport's Personnel Department @ 505 Travis St., Suite 530
- Shreveport Fire and Police Training Academy @ 6440 Greenwood Road.
