EXCLUSIVE: New Club Brings The "After Party" To The Boardwalk

After Party Entertainment wants to do what some say is nearly impossible -- make "Urban Nightlife" succeed in Bossier City.

This Friday, February 6th, the company will officially open the doors of its new club and namesake -- THE AFTER PARTY -- at the Louisiana Boardwalk. And they're inviting all the adults in the area to come out and take a peek.

I was granted a sneak peek LAST Friday and here's the 411 on the SBC's newest hot spot:

Located on the same level as -- but adjacent to -- Encore, the club is 15,000 square feet of upscale entertainment.

It features an ultra contemporary design, 2 bars, a cigar bar, a pool table, a light and laser show every night, and a patio with a view of the Boardwalk and the Shreveport/Bossier skyline.

And ladies, if you're wondering about maneuvering those tall, white steps, not to worry -- there's an elevator available to save your feet some added drama ... so feel free to rock the pumps or stilettos! :)

But ... with the history Bossier City has with "urban" nightlife, and the way businesses are shutting down left and right in the SBC, why a club ... at the Boardwalk?


After Party Entertainment (A.P.E.) Owner David Handy explains:

"We will provide an upscale, high end nightlife. That doesn't exist here. This is a great city with a great urban culture and we hope to be the heartbeat that revives that culture here. We selected the Boardwalk because we simply want to provide our guest with the best possible venue because they deserve it and we won't settle for anything less."

After Party Entertainment isn't just in the club business. They bill themselves as a multi-faceted entertainment company -- offering event production from design to completion, catering, staffing, and audio/visual & communication needs.

The club can also be rented as a venue for private or public events.

NOW HERE'S THE SKINNY ON THE GRAND OPENING:

THE AFTER PARTY's Grand Opening is Friday, February 6th. Doors open at 9 pm. Must be 21 (with valid ID) to get in. Dress code is seriously enforced. (No street clothes or stripper attire people)

There is FREE ADMISSION until MIDNIGHT for this special event. There will also be FREE wine tasting, FREE hors d'oeuvres and great music (courtesy of what I'm calling the Digital DJ lol).

If you're not familiar with the Boardwalk, get a map/directions to it HERE.

For those who know the way, THE AFTER PARTY is located on the South end of the Boardwalk, in the same structure that houses FUNNY BONE, PINZ and ENCORE. Once you hit the steps (or take the elevator) to reach ENCORE, go across the patio and to the LEFT, a single door will take you to THE AFTER PARTY.

And remember that there is parking behind the venue as well as in the parking garage. And did I mention you get in FREE?
