Local motivational speaker Fox Rich celebrated the release of her new book, "The One That Got Away," last night.
Fans and friends alike packed the Shreveport Yacht Club to congratulate her and get copies of her book signed.
I couldn't even get near her to say more than a HI because the line kept coming (lol).
Along with food, drink and book sales, the night featured a performance by the Shreveport Community All Boys Choir.
In her book, Rich takes readers inside her journey facing 297 years in prison and serving seven of those years for being an accessory to armed robbery and jury tampering. She shares how she turned it into a positive message for others as a motivational speaker at schools and colleges across the state.
Rich also will re-launch her self-titled show "The Fox Rich Show" in early 2010, which will showcase life stories of people who overcome limitations.
