Black Music Month: New Releases and Concert Updates

As you can see from the June issues of two of the top Black magazines in the world, it's Black Music Month! (Chris B. is on the cover of Ebony looking very grown and sexy ... we must remember he's like 19; and Jilly from Philly is on the cover of Essence looking very regal!!!)

Anyway -- It's time to celebrate Black Music!!! (and that doesn't mean downloading more freebies to put on MySpace or making more visits to the bootleg man!). From Motown to Neo-Soul, from old school to dance hall, from rap to crunk ... let's honor it ALL!!!

On Friday, May 30th, President Bush made the official declaration ... (Hooray!), and now the whole world can celebrate! (Yay!).

Speaking of Declarations -- Ashanti releases her new album (The Declaration). Today (June 3rd) ...

Also in stores today are releases from coverboy Chris Brown (the Exclusive ... Deluxe Edition ... who does he think he is Beyonce'? but it features that HOT "Take You Down" video :) ...

As well as releases from Bun B, Lil' KeKe, Lil' Will, Little Brother, Snoop (Best of the Street), Amy Winehouse, Lalah Hathaway and Pimp C's Greatest Hits.

June 10th - Lil Wayne, N.E.R.D., Patti Labelle (Live album), Hil St. Soul, Plies, Cash Money's 10 Years of Bling and the questionable Afroman's Greatest Hits (what other hit did he have???).

June 17th - Rihanna (Live DVD), Chante & Mariah (another questionable one ... guess they had nothing better to do), Craig G. & Marley Marl, and a DVD from Pimp C.

June 24th - DVDs from Lil' Wayne and The Game, Three 6 Mafia, Lil' Flip, Trillville, Dwele and Best of D'Angelo CD/DVD.
