The annual Highland Jazz & Blues Festival 2008 will fill Columbia Park with the sound of music on Saturday (11.15). This year’s festival is dedicated to Buddy Flett of The Bluebirds.
Along with local vendors offering arts and crafts, treats and eats, there will be plenty of entertainment. The list of performers includes Grammy-nominated Blues musician (and Louisiana native) Henry Gray, the Bluebirds, the Harptones, Cookie and the Kingcakes and more. I also got word that local favorite Total Choice will hit the stage (at 1:30 pm).
This event is FREE and runs from noon until 6 p.m. Music-lovers are encouraged to come out, bring a lawnchair or blanket and make a day of it!
