Help give joy to children in need this holiday season by supporting the SWIFT FOUNDATION's inaugural TOY DRIVE.
This Friday, December 4th, the Foundation will be collection toys at the Bijou (formerly MacArthur's Steakhouse in the Red River District). The event will run from 5:30pm - 8:30pm.
The foundation is asking that you bring ONE NEW UNWRAPPED, UNOPENED TOY to support the drive. All toys will be given to the children living at the YWCA Family Violence Shelter.
Along with the warm feeling you get from helping others, supporters will enjoy drink specials, door prizes, and free hors d'oeuvres while they last.
If you are unable to attend, organizers are accepting them by mail as well. The address is P.O Box 8030, Shreveport LA, 71148.
The Swift Foundation is headed by Shreveport native and NBA player, Stromile Swift, who believes in the importance of making a difference in the lives of Shreveport-Bossier City’s underserved families.
The Swift Foundation was founded in the summer of 2008. It's primary focus is supporting local community, educational, and personal development programs and organizations while also raising awareness for individuals struggling with kidney-related diseases.
